How to Make your Own Interior style in 2026

As we have witnessed a lot of designs, options, & ambiences, it becomes very confusing for us to choose a interior style which suites/comforts us.

Keeping an open mind to change.

As a Buyer, sometimes we are very rigid about our design ideas, but mostly it is a mess of multiple image saved from Google, Pinterest & Insta.

Though these images provide a very relatable idea of what you want, so stick to 1-3 images of same style.

Get your Color Palette Prepared

Choose 2-4 colors for a dedicated space, which are going to be reflected of your interior furniture, wall, fixture, etc.

use colors very wisely, e.g. use light color for walls, for more get a tone color pattern over it. Use dark or tone colors for furniture. using dark color will make a contrasting effect and make pop-up the furniture in total.

Picking Fabric for furniture

Fabric if the one of the most important factor when making a comfortable interior experience.

We don't realize but its the fabric on which we sit and have a feel of, for the longest time. if fabric is not comfortable then the overall experience is compromised.

Drappery

Correct Curtains are important, when choosing curtains, we should be well aware of the daily functions which curtains perform. its not just about the privacy we look from curtains but also an overall look and feel, a curtain can provide.

when Choosing a heavy fabric of any tone color makes the room dark in daylight whereas, light fabric does not solve the issue.

So, choose two layers of curtains, one layers of sheen/tissue and second layer of heavy fabric.

2. use curtain ties/ropes/Tessel of the same color of metal/tone of curtain.

Selecting Furniture & Fixtures

Consider Modern/Contemporary furniture for your new interiors. These will go for a long period of time when it comes to new design/trend. Pick some bright color which makes a bold furniture look and choosing a very simple pattern with help you not making anything look overdone.

fixtures: Choose Accent colors for your fixtures, e.g: Metallic colors

choose atleast 2 design of light fixtures- 1 can be wall mounted & 2nd could be a floor standing lamp.
